protest on Saturday, Jan. 10, from noon to 2 pm, at the Benton County Courthouse.
On Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen, Renee Nicole Good, was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. And on Thursday, just one day later, two people were shot by a US Customs and Border Patrol agent in Portland.
Indivisible, MoveOn, the American Civil Liberties Union, Voto Latino, United We Dream, 50501, the Disappeared in America Campaign of the Not Above the Law coalition, and a broad coalition of groups across the country are calling for a coordinated ICE Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th, and Sunday, January 11th, to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
In Corvallis, we will protest on Saturday, Jan. 10, from noon to 2 pm, at the Benton County Courthouse.
The Mobilize link is https://mobilize.us/s/6tBkcv. Signing up is great, but the most important thing for you to do is SHOW UP and ENCOURAGE EVERYONE YOU KNOW to do the same.
Please, please, please spread the word to everyone in your network! We always hear from folks who didn’t know about a protest until it was too late. Don’t let this happen to anyone you know! Share this on social media! Send to your group chats and emails lists! Tell people in the supermarket! Call, text, telegram, smoke signal (not actually, b/c of the current air quality advisory) your friends and family!
Email [email protected] if you’re interested in volunteering to help out with the protest.
