Help us celebrate 25 years of the South Corvallis Food Bank

Help us celebrate 25 years of the South Corvallis Food Bank! When Judy Hecht started the organization in 2001, we served 25 families monthly. Now, the South Corvallis Food Bank aids over 750 families each month. Join us on Sunday, September 13, from noon to 4pm at Central Park for an afternoon of celebration with food, music, and games.

We’re inviting local businesses, organizations, and artists like Indivisible Benton County to join us in celebration by running an activity or activity table at the party. Activities can vary depending on your organization and your capacity. For example, we are looking for groups to organize a yard game activity, face painting, a place to meet an animal, an educational game, making balloon animals, a craft table, a gardening table, etc… The possibilities are endless! You would be responsible for providing your activity. As an activity host, you’ll gain visibility, connect with community members, and help us celebrate years of serving the community. Funds raised from this event will go towards food bank expenses, ensuring that every household that comes in is able to receive a five-day supply of food that is nutritious and culturally appropriate on every visit.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in contributing to please let me know what activity you would like to run by July 31st, 2026. We are hoping to have this figured out early so that we can start advertising who is involved and encouraging people to donate. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to hearing from you!
