Guest Speaker, Next General Meeting

Our next General Meeting will be Wed., April 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Corvallis Community Center. Our guest speaker will be Yema Measho, JD, who will speak about her work as an immigration attorney. She has practiced law in Benton County since 2008, representing individuals and families in complex legal matters, primarily in the federal immigration system and in cases that intersect with Oregon law.  She works directly with people navigating high-stakes legal situations—often involving multiple legal systems, language barriers, and unfamiliar processes. Yema herself came to the United States from Ethiopia early in her adult life and built her life and career here while learning to navigate a new language, culture, and unfamiliar systems. Additionally, she has served on local boards and has been actively involved in community education and outreach.
