NO KINGS: Vote Early Corvallis/Benton County

Join us for the No Kings: Vote Early Nationwide Day of Action on October 17 from noon to 3 pm at the Benton County Courthouse!

No Kings: Vote Early is a different model of mass public engagement from previous No Kings mobilizations. We’re focusing on action and impact over volume. We’ve protested on a previously unseen scale. Now we take that power to the polls. Our success will be measured not by the number who show up at an event (although we’d love to see tons of people!), but by a flood of ballots arriving at county elections offices well before Nov. 3!

To pull this off, we need voter engagement ambassadors to circulate and distribute information about voting to attendees. We’ll provide the flyers and bookmarks. Your job will be to talk with people about the importance of voting, ask them if they have a plan to vote, and communicate voting deadlines and resources. You’re welcome to work with a partner, if you’d prefer, or strike off on your own to get folks excited about voting.

We also need help with fun activities like the “I voted” photo booth and with recruiting at our Election Protection Sign-Up Table. And of course, we need volunteers for our standard roles, like Safety/Peace Team, Indivisible and First Aid Tables, crowd counting, photographers & media outreach, set up, and clean up.

For this event, all volunteers with Indivisible must remain non-partisan while they are volunteering. They should not support or oppose any candidate, political party, or ballot measure. Additionally, they cannot handle, collect, or transport other voters’ ballots. These are No Kings Coalition requirements to comply with federal, state, and local election laws. Volunteers will receive additional guidance before the event. These limitations do not apply before or after a volunteer’s shift.
