Tamales for a Cause
On January 30th, from 5:30-7:30 pm, at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Social Hall (2945 NW Circle Blvd, Corvallis), the NeST fund presents Tamales for a Cause. Professional cook, Rommy, from Sabor Tamales, will lead a workshop that includes some of her best secrets for achieving the perfect tamale. All materials are provided, with vegetarian and vegan options available. Participants leave with ready-to-cook tamales. The suggested donation is $20-$50, to raise emergency funds for our most vulnerable immigrant neighbors in Linn and Benton counties. Register for the workshop here.
