This is a heavy season. You can’t turn on the news without learning of new tragedy or crises. Now, more than ever, we need to celebrate wins and gather in solidarity to support each other. Please join us for the Indivisible Benton County Community Celebration on Wednesday, December 17th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the Corvallis Community Center to recognize and celebrate our hard work towards a better future, for all of us.
Who is the Indivisible Benton County community? If you receive this newsletter, have attended a meeting, participated in a protest, helped with get-out-the-vote efforts, volunteered to feed our neighbors, held a banner on a freeway, or participated in ICE watch training, that’s YOU!
| There will be drinks and small treats as we mingle. There will be some fun activities as well! The theme of the gathering will be “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”, since we live in a mad, mad world. We invite you to bring any of the following:
– Friends who are interested in Indivisible BC and our mission. This will be a fun event to introduce new folks to the organization!
– Treats to share. Indivisible BC will be providing tea, hot coco, and hot apple cider. You are welcome to bring your own tea cup or snack plate (just don’t forget it when you leave)!
– A goofy hat to wear. The hats with the most votes in the “Which hat made you laugh?” contest will win prizes.
– A fun or witty protest poster (or make your own there). Attendees will vote for “Which poster made you think?” So be sure to bring your best posters to show toff!
– Food for Good Trouble Corvallis to take to the food bank.
