Form a Crowd & Stay Loud

Special News

We must continue to be vigilant during this Holiday season. ICE activity has increased in Oregon with documented kidnappings in Albany, Salem and Eugene and possible ICE activity in the heart of Corvallis at OSU the morning of Monday, December 1st.

The development of a possible ICE detention center in Newport is still an ongoing story with reports of continued inquiries from federal contractors for housing in Lincoln City.

Also, there are reports of an association of vehicle stops by ICE with information through a surveillance company called FLOCK. Multiple Oregon cities have contracted with FLOCK for automated license plate detection and that information can be shared with federal agencies. There have been reports of ICE using this information to target vehicles.

As of November 16th, 73.6% of current ICE detainees have no criminal convictions. Court documents show that ICE has made false accusations regarding interactions with protestors and victims. Judge Ellis has affirmatively documented the lies that ICE has used to justify their illegal actions on protestors and victims. ICE and CBP is being developed as a paramilitary police force for this illegal regime and they must be stopped. NYC protestors recently showed that people power can be effective in stopping ICE activity.
