Immergut granted a preliminary injunction about five hours before her temporary order barring the deployments of National Guard troops to Portland was set to expire at 11:59 p.m. Sunday. It followed an accelerated three-day trial that ended Friday afternoon. She barred any National Guard deployment to Portland until she issues a final opinion by the end of Friday. While the Trump regime is terrorizing and kidnapping people off our streets without due process and throwing themselves a Great Gatsby-themed Halloween party, the Trump regime and the GOP keep the government shut down and refuse to release SNAP funds. Even though a federal judge has ordered that SNAP be funded through the contingency funds already allocated in the USDA budget, the government seems to be making excuses.
