NO KINGS II INFO!

What to know: Preparing for NO KINGS II

A speaker will start off the Rally at 12 pm.  The Parade of the People will start at the Courthouse steps immediately afterwards. We will march east on Monroe to 1st, south on 1st to Madison, west on Madison to 4th, and then back to the Courthouse. This route will take us through the Farmers Market and Corvallis Makers Market and we encourage you to interact with these vendors to show our community spirit.  We will be sticking to the sidewalks until we get to the Farmers Market, where we will move to the center of the street, returning to the sidewalks once we are on Madison. We will then finish the rally with a Dance of Defiance until 3pm.

We need more volunteers

No Kings has produced a Attendee Best Practices video we encourage you to watch.

Amplify the message by posting to social media. Change your social media picture to this graphic. We want No Kings to be everywhere. If people see their friends and family on social media as a part of the movement, they will be more likely to join themselves.

For additional safety measures, read more at the Indivisible website.

For generations, people around the world have used color to show collective strength in the face of oppression. Movements around the world have used yellow as a symbol of nonviolent resistance. We align ourselves with this historic context while taking a step into our shared future. Think of it as a shared symbol. It does not need to be an entire outfit. A bandana, a hat, a shirt — any bright pop of yellow will work perfectly.”

NO KINGS is a peaceful national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the Trump administration’s increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption, which they have doubled down on since June. They are targeting immigrant families, profiling, arresting and detaining people without warrants; threatening to overtake elections; gutting health care, environmental protections, and education when families need them most; rigging maps to silence voters; ignoring mass shootings at our schools and in our communities; and driving up the cost of living while handing out massive giveaways to billionaire allies, as families struggle.

Alongside local organizers, partners, and leaders from across the pro-democracy & pro-worker movement, we will demonstrate organized nonviolent people power that outpaces any authoritarian aspirations.

At events, come by the Indivisible tent and attendees will receive Know Your Rights cards, to empower us to keep demanding that our rights are respected. We’ll also use it to start a conversation about how we’re going to fight back and care for each other with our communities.
