All authoritarian regimes are sustained by the same six pillars. We all belong to one or more of them. With nonviolent acts of noncooperation we have the power to weaken these pillars and force them to remove the support they give to the authoritarian in power. This is how fascist regimes scramble.

Authoritarian forces are getting bolder and more dangerous. We don’t have to wait until it’s too late. We can stop this. But it’ll take all of us—not just on single days of mass action, but through sustained organizing in our communities. The window of Authoritarian Breakthrough might be closing and we must seize the moment before the iron claws of dictatorship are locked around our necks.

I pledge not to fly Avelo Airlines — or any airline that profits from ICE deportation flights. Until Avelo ends its contract with ICE, I’ll work in my community to cut their subsidies, end their partnerships, and pressure their leadership to make sure no company can profit from tearing families apart without consequence. We will not give them our business, and we are pressuring airports, local and State government, Universities, and Avelo Leadership. We will Stop Evil. We will Ground Avelo!
